Semen Cryopreservation and Storage

Semen cryopreservation is the freezing and storage of sperm before being used in any assisted reproduction technique. These samples are kept in liquid nitrogen (-196 ⁰C) until when required by the patient.

This procedure is recommended in patients who will undergo chemotherapy or radiation treatments for malignant lesions or other testicular tumors, and even also recommended for men who want to delay fatherhood.
